Ten Thousand Things
2024–2025
Photography series
Medium-format analogue photography, double exposure
A series made in Hokkaido, Japan, exploring the shifting boundary between nature and the city through double exposure. The images merge and transform these two environments, reflecting the Taoist idea of the “ten thousand things” as an interconnected world of beings and their relationships. The work draws on wuhua (物化), the transformation of things, to consider landscape as something continuously changing through its encounters and relations.
